Digital Mammography – France’s first pilot project goes live

22.01.2015
The pilot project for a fully digitalised mass breast cancer screening workflow, organised by the e-SIS consortium and Gard Lozère Dépistage (France), went live on December 1st 2014. Five public & private radiology practices are taking part in this project with Gard Lozère Dépistage. They use the e-SIS system, developed by a partnership between CDI and EpiConcept, to manage the participants’ records, and exchange as well as archive their mammographies. This all-digital workflow notably allows the radiologist responsible for the second reading to diagnose it from his own workstation, by interpreting the DICOM images received from the exam centers.
